Quantum Gravity and Quantum Fields Theory : Physical, Mathematical and Philosophical perspectives

Quantum Gravity Quantum Fields Theory Workshop

Physical, Mathematical and Philosophical perspectives.

Date : 18 - 19 March 2011 Nice, France.

This first version of this joint workshop will be hosted by the INLN-Nice University and the ANR Geometry and Physics.

The conference will be held at the J. A. Dieudonné Conference Hall Of the Mathematics departement, University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis

Over the last three decades, gravitational physics has greatly extended its reach within fundamental science. On the very large scale, impressive advances have been made in cosmology and relativistic astrophysics and at the very small scale issues of quantum gravity now constitute the new frontier of fundamental physics. Consequently, gravitational physics also lies at cross-roads of mathematics, particle physics, computational science and astronomy.

The aim of this conference is to bring together physicists and mathematicians working in quantum field theory and Quantum Gravity, and to encourage scientific discussions on fundamental and conceptual issues. Selected talks will introduce different directions of research. The conference is also intended for young researchers on the graduate and post-graduate level.
